Balai Trip 20-21/6

Bear with my long essay, dont faint
Went for balai trip on 20-21 june
Friday 19 june i was back to boys town at about 5.30
Waited till about 6 have our dinner and we board the bus to the indoor stadium
We had a music game video live concert in the indoor stadium
The NUS students were the band and choir for the concertThe music were nice, but part of it were boring
And about 9pm the concert make a 20 mins break for everyone
I left the concert with boys town as we find the concert really boring and left
Bus back to boys town and bathe, finally a day ended
Flipping here and there on the bed, i hardly get to sleep for the night
As i was awake on the bed and time pass
20/6 1st day to Balai
It was already 6am, i went bathing and cab down to harbourfront with mr jacky and titus
Had our breakfast at the hawker center and waited for mr Aaron, darren, nara and jacky to arrive
They arrive had breakfast and we left for the ferry, board the ferry
It was damn shaky and dizzy inside, we had a whole one hour or two hour and reach Balai
The 1st impression of balai for me was LAPSUP, it was dirty there
I don dare to even drink the coke using my lips touching the cup, cause its not clean
We took a mini van and drove off to the hotel to book the room 1st, put our bags there and we left
We went to McDota to have lunch, McDota was like McDonald
I had a burger and a cup of lychee, Mr Aaron bought 60 pieces of chickens wings/drumstinks at McDota for the children at the orphanage home
Next stop was the Orphanage home, we hop on the van and went for the orphanage home
It was rainning heavily, the road was about to flood already.
As i can see that children love rainning over at balai, they don need any umbrella or raincoat
You could see childrens playing on the middle of the road in the rain
Or children walking home alone happily in the rain, even small little children age 10
Went we reach the home at about 11am we waited for the children to end their school as we waited we plan for the event going on later on
Time pass and we get into the dinning hall as the children over there waiting for lunch time
The Girls at the home do the cooking and the serving as for the boys they waited and play at one side waiting for lunch
Chatted with the boys, one small boy played the guitar as they sang us a indonasia song
Though we don understand but we enjoy and admire their singing very much,
even surprised to hear they sing so well
Food was serve on the table, their meal was very simple for them
Had grace with them and we had our lunch, food were simple and delicious
Finish lunch and we plan for games,
we had windbreaker for a warm up, we cant really communictae with those children there
They don unerstand or speak english, only for that one boy that could translate for us
So we slowly had the game rules translated to them and we started the game
It was very intresting and fun playing with them, their names were difficult to mermorise
As 5 of us tried hard to remember their name for the game, everyone seem to love the game
We had lots of different game going on and aftermath we help to bring out the computers and we thought them how to use the microsoft words and the other common programme in the computers
And time for games! Like us all in boys town, having our games time every single evening
Watched mr aaron, mr jacky, titus and darren playing soccer with them
they played from 5.30pm to about 6pm and our van come, time for saying goodbye and we left the place
They are all less fortunate than us, they might have things we had, but they might not know things that is in common, like they might not have known so much a the use of computer without people helping them throughout. We have got big communicating difficulties but we try and even though we have fun playing with them. Their life is simple though they were the most happy children. Whenever it rains they always prepare to be perspiring and live in darkness, whenever it rains, lightning strike and their power trip and they cant do anything but to wait for the power to come back, not like us children in singapore, even i rains we still can play computer, talking through the phone, on air-con, watching tv and walking with lights on at home. Peoples treasure life over there. They dont ask for more, even though there were more.
We took van back to the hotel and check in, Hotel were so comfortable and nice, had a nice bath and watched the tv, was damn surprised because this was the 1st country with chnl 8, 5 and U on their channels. We did not miss anything much happening in singapore though.
8.30 we went to the streets walking around and looking out for nice foods, we bought many foods like Satay, toast bread, otah, ramly burger, mee goreng and others. It doesnt cost us much, because food there for us were cheap, you no need to care how much will you cost for 30 stcks of satays, or 9 burgers and 30 otahs. Just fill your stomach up, you cant resist from foods there.
After dinner we went back to our hotel rooms and did our own stuffs, its all our own time.
We watched the tv and played psp, hanging around in and out of the room. We ton the night through till about 5.30 excluding nara and jacky, they slept damn early. Lols
I ton till about 4+am as i watched silver hawk on tv and i fall asleep, titus fall asleep too.
Darren played psp the whole night and 5.30 was our record.. Haha, kayu right
But time pass damn slow over at balai, you could take your time over there.
2nd day, 21/6 supposingly every had to woke up at 6 or 8am for breakfast buffet at the hotel,
But everyone overslept even Mr.jacky so we all woke up at about 11+am and went for lunch at 12.30.
After lunch we went back hotel and pack our stuffs and put it at the counter and went street shopping. I bought nothing because nothing caught my eyes.
Aftermath we went to the hotel restruant to have a drink and we play mixing all drinks and who lose who had got to drink a sip of it. In the end also i drink the most, but it aint bad at all, apple juice+orange juice+green tea+Blueberry soda+Mago soda And sugar syrup taste like sugar cane drink. Haha. Nice indeed.
We board the boat at indonasia time about 4, singapore time was 5 only one hour different. And we reach singapore ferry at about singapore time 7pm. Mr aaron came drove us back to bpp, and i took lrt home. Was damn tired and i bathed, watched suria channel because other channel no show. The show was damn funny, KNite, they sang very well. But Mr tak tahu and ms tak boleh is the chinese actor lao zhabor anyhow sing the mlay song. ROFL
After being to Balai, i really love Balai this country very much, first impression is dirty
But after all, it is alright for me, it was damn fun. People could live happily
I even learn to pick up malay abit but abit. I love speaking malay now.
I find myself easily influence after this trip
How i wish to learn different kind of language, so it will be useful in different country.
We will not have communication difficulties :D I want to go Korea too!
